MEET ANGELA

CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITY

I’ve lived all my life in Catawba County except for the six years I served Senator Jesse Helms on Capitol Hill and while earning my MBA and undergraduate degrees in North Carolina. My family’s roots in Catawba County go back generations.

I serve the people and community of Catawba County as an employee, a teacher, a mentor and education champion, and a faithful worshiper and church volunteer.

  • I’ve worked in the financial department of Temple Inc. for seven years and previously I served as a commercial banker for multiple banks.

  • While homeschooling my four children over the years, I have taught other families’ children enrolled in a Christian homeschool program and I have coached and mentored other parents within the program.

  • As a member of Corinth Reformed Church in Hickory, I volunteer with Vacation Bible School and participate in Parents of Teenagers Sunday School and in Wednesday Ladies Bible Study.

In my job, as a volunteer, as a community member, and as a wife and mother, I conduct myself with the highest integrity.

I am honest, reliable, detail oriented, resourceful, organized and high energy.

I am analytical and precise.

I enjoy collaborating and motivating — whether while producing the Temple employees’ annual Christmas video or brainstorming with my Classical Conversations homeschool group on teaching strategies and projects.

I enthusiastically apply my people skills, positive nature and problem-solving acumen to benefit the communities, organizations and causes that I hold dear to my heart.

Now I want to serve you and Catawba County as your dependable, efficient and caring Register of Deeds. I humbly ask for your support.
