How Angela will improve Register of Deeds operations and service
I will create a dependable, efficient and caring Register of Deeds office to serve the citizens of Catawba County:

Dependable – I will ensure that our Register of Deeds team members are competent, cross trained and courteous so Catawba County citizens can get the professional help they want and deserve. Our citizens should be able to count on a high level of service and integrity from the Register of Deeds office.

Efficient – I will seek out the best systems and practices to run an accurate and efficient office.

Caring – I will bolster staff training and development to encourage my staff in their positions. We have a tremendous resource in the School of Government at UNC-Chapel Hill as well as a network of knowledgeable staff from other Register of Deeds offices to maintain positive strong staff development.
I also want to implement a passport application process via the Register of Deeds office. When my husband and I were planning a trip abroad, we utilized the services of the Lincoln County Register of Deeds office for its passport application services. We were incredibly pleased with that process. This would be an additional value-added service to offer the citizens of Catawba County.

Whether it’s a special project at work or a volunteer opportunity, you can count on me to get the job done. I am a resourceful leader who excels at building relationships. These skills will serve me well as your Register of Deeds to implement best practices and create a premier office to serve the citizens of Catawba County.
